Welcome to MANÉ. By using our website and purchasing from us, you agree to these terms. We've written them as clearly as possible — no legalese where we can avoid it.

About us

MANÉ is operated as a sole proprietorship by the business owner, trading from 4 Edmonton Alley, Johannesburg, South Africa. All enquiries can be directed to support@getmane.co.za.

This website is operated by MANÉ. When we say "we", "us", or "our" throughout these terms, we're referring to MANÉ.

Using our website

By accessing or using getmane.co.za, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the website.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order.

Products and pricing

Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.

We make every effort to display our products accurately, but we cannot guarantee that colours, textures, and images appear exactly the same on every device. Product images are for illustration purposes.

If we make a pricing error (e.g., a product listed at R1 when it should be R699), we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund you in full. Typos don't bind us to selling at incorrect prices.

We reserve the right to:

  • Change our prices at any time
  • Discontinue products without notice
  • Limit the quantity of any product sold to one customer
  • Refuse or cancel any order at our discretion (with a full refund)

Placing an order

When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy. We accept your offer when we confirm your order via email and dispatch the product.

If we cancel your order for any reason (out of stock, pricing error, suspected fraud, or other), you'll receive a full refund.

You're responsible for making sure your order details are correct before checkout — including your delivery address. We're not responsible for parcels delivered to incorrect addresses provided by you.

Payment

We accept payment via Yoco, which processes credit card, debit card, and EFT payments securely.

All payments are processed in ZAR. Your payment is taken when you complete checkout. We do not store your card details — these are handled entirely by Yoco.

Shipping and delivery

Once your parcel is handed to Aramex, responsibility for delivery transfers to Aramex. We'll help you resolve any delivery issues, but final delivery is out of our direct control.

In summary:

  • 7-day return window for unused, sealed products (change of mind)
  • 6-month protection for defective products under the SA Consumer Protection Act
  • 48-hour window to report parcels damaged in transit

Hair type suitability

The MANÉ brush is designed for Type 1-3 hair (straight, wavy, loose curls). This is clearly stated on our product pages.

If you purchase with Type 4 (tightly coiled or coily) hair and the product doesn't give you the result you wanted, this is not a fault of the product — please check our hair type guidance before ordering.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including the MANÉ name, logo, photography, copy, designs, and branding — is the property of MANÉ and is protected by South African copyright and trademark law.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any of our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

User conduct

When using our website, you agree not to:

  • Engage in fraudulent activity, including using stolen payment cards
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer any part of our website
  • Submit false information during checkout
  • Use our website to harass, abuse, or harm others

We reserve the right to ban users and refuse future orders from anyone who violates these rules.

Limitation of liability

We do our best to provide accurate product information and reliable service. That said, to the extent allowed by South African law:

  • We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or website
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the purchase price of the product in question
  • We're not liable for delays or failures caused by factors beyond our reasonable control (load shedding, courier delays, postal strikes, natural disasters, etc.)

None of this affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, which we fully honour.

Product safety

The MANÉ brush is a heated styling tool. Always follow the instructions provided.

  • Do not use on wet hair
  • Do not leave unattended while heated
  • Keep away from children
  • Do not submerge in water
  • Do not use if the product is damaged

We're not responsible for injuries or damages caused by misuse of the product.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The most current version is always available on this page, with the date of last update shown at the bottom.

If we make significant changes, we'll do our best to notify customers via email.

Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
